Frequently Asked Questions
How much is shipping, and how long does it take?
Shipping is FREE Australia-wide on orders over A$99, or a flat A$9.95 otherwise. Orders leave our Gold Coast warehouse within 1 business day and arrive in 3–7 business days via tracked Australia Post. You'll receive a tracking number by email as soon as your order ships.
What if the gear isn't right for me?
Send it back within 30 days in unused condition for a full refund — see our Returns & Refunds policy. If something arrives faulty, you're covered by the Australian Consumer Law and we'll make it right at our cost.
Are your prices really in Australian dollars?
Yes — everything on this site is priced in Australian dollars and already includes 10% GST. The price you see is the price you pay (plus shipping if under A$99). No surprises at checkout.
I'm a complete beginner. Where should I start?
Read our free guide Beach Fishing for Beginners, then look at the Weekend Warrior Starter Kit — it has everything you need for under A$100. And if you're still unsure, phone Ron on (07) 5550 2148. He'll talk you through it.
Do I need a fishing licence?
That depends on your state or territory — rules differ across Australia. Many states offer free or discounted licences for seniors and pensioners. Check your state fisheries department's website before you head out, and always carry your licence with you.
How do I change or cancel my order?
Phone us on (07) 5550 2148 as soon as possible — if the parcel hasn't left the warehouse yet we can change or cancel it straight away. Once it's on the truck with Australia Post, the easiest option is to use our 30-day returns after delivery.
Can I buy a gift for someone?
Absolutely — many of our customers buy starter kits for grandkids and spouses. Just put the recipient's name and address in the shipping details at checkout, and add a note in your order confirmation reply if you'd like a gift receipt without prices.
